There is a good deal of cash to be won this week DraftKings including a top prize of $25k from the main tournament. DK also has a lot of Qualifier contests on this week, where the last event will pay $50k to 1st if you did qualify to perform inside. I’ll be pursuing those as well because we’ve not ever had a $50k 1st place prize and I need it. We did have one fight fall off but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a superb card to build your bankroll to get the very first Sunday of NFL so you can pursue that $1M.
Cash Game play of the week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit will be super chalky in tournament. Everybody who’d Shevchenko within their lineup is going to switch to Zabit and he will probably be the most owned fighter on the slate. In money games we do not really care about ownership as much and I am going to be starting my cash team with Zabit. I believe he’s the easiest triumph on the card plus he’s the maximum ceiling too. I think if you want to get sneaky and not use Zabit, the GPPs would be the place to do that. Lock him in cash and take the easy triumph. Then you only need to learn about 3 other wins and you ought to possess a winning cash group.
GPP drama of the week — Alex White ($8,600)
I think Jim Miller is close to the end of his career and I am presuming this will be the final time we see him at the UFC. I think he’s going to be given his 5th loss in a row here and I am guessing it is going to be via knockout. I think Alex White will be too powerful and quick for Jim Miller at this stage in his career and I believe he is going to have the ability to keep this battle on the feet. With everyone paying for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and some other mid-range favorites could be a good way to go to make your lineups more contrarian and try to find 1st place in a GPP that way. I do like White a fantastic bit in this struggle and I think he’s 100+ point potential at a $8.6additional salary. He is my GPP play of this week.
Underdog drama of this week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog play of the week since I do not think Craig White is any good. Sanchez may be completely taken, and if this is the case he could get KO’d early. But I really don’t think Craig White ought to be -200 against some other UFC fighter. Diego is cheap enough where it lets you find some of those higher favorites you enjoy in your lineup, and I think he will get a decision win here. He will be my choice to win, however it’s not a confident pick and I believe he makes to get a better GPP play than cash punt.
Fade of this week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I’m looking forward to seeing this fight and I’ll be picking Aljo to get the win here. My difficulty is that I do not think he is quite likely to score highly, and maybe not even 10x his wages. I believe a lot of this fight will happen on the feet and Aljo does not throw at a high enough pace to score well in a match that is spectacular. He will have to find this battle to the ground several times and rack up some progress points for him to score highly. I don’t see that occurring. I believe this will be a very close fight and I’d rather just pay up for any of the fighters over Sterling. I believe we would be taking a look at a score around 70-75 DK points with an Aljo decision win here.
