Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals since a 5-1 victory was secured by Portugal against Lithuania in their Euro 2020 Group B qualifier on Tuesday.
Ronaldo added three in the next following the hosts had equalised before half-time and scored first in the first half.
William Carvalho wrapped a 2nd successive qualifying victory for the defending European Champions.
The win moved Portugal around second position with eight points but with a game in hand.
Third-placed Serbia won 3-1 in Luxembourg to help keep the pressure up .
World champions France saw Andorra 3-0 at Stade de France off to keep the strain at the top of Euro 2020 qualification Group H.
With Antoine Griezmann also seeing a penalty, protector Clement Lenglet and kingsley Coman scored in each half.
Substitute Wissam Ben Yedder tapped home a third in stoppage time.
Together with Turkey winning 4-0 off Didier Deschamps’ side find themselves in the table head-to-head record – but three points clear of Iceland, who were beaten.
Czech Republic moved into second place.
Next up for Jaroslav Silhavy’s side is a house battle with England, who extended his lead on top of the band after a 5-3 win from Kosovo.
