Southampton shield Wesley Hoedt has joined Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp.
The loan arrangement also has an option to purchase at the end of the present campaign.
Hoedt made 32 appearances during his debut season with the team and joined Southampton from Lazio in August 2017 for a fee in the area of 15m.
The 25-year-old created a 13 appearances last year ahead of the coming of manager Ralph Hasenhuttl in St Mary’s, but has been deemed surplus to requirements from the Austrian and joined Celta Vigo on loan.
The Netherlands global will join up with former Everton ahead Kevin Mirallas in Antwerp, that sit ninth in the Belgian table following a beat Saido Berahino’s Zulte Waregem on Sunday.
The Saints will also be set to loan outside midfielder Mario Lemina after accepting a bid.
