Southampton defender Wesley Hoedt has joined Pro League side Royal Antwerp to get a season-long loan deal.
The loan arrangement also has an option to buy at the end of the current campaign.
Hoedt made 32 appearances during his debut season with the club and joined Southampton for a fee in the region of # 15m from Lazio at August 2017.
The 25-year-old joined Celta Vigo on loan for the remaining part of the campaign, but was deemed surplus to requirements by the Austrian and made a further 13 appearances last year prior to the arrival of manager Ralph Hasenhuttl at St Mary’s.
The Netherlands and former Everton forward Kevin Mirallas in Antwerp, who sit in the table following a beat in the Zulte Waregem on Sunday of Saido Berahino will join up.
The Saints will also be set to advance midfielder Mario Lemina out later taking a bid.
